Job summary

Kearfott Corporation in New Jersey is seeking a Sr. Optical Polisher for the 2nd shift to perform precision polishing and cleaning on a range of high-finish glass parts. You will work from drawings and specifications, using bench equipment and measuring instruments to ensure tolerances are met.

Five years of polishing/deburring experience is required, along with knowledge of inspection methods and SPC. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five years minimum experience in precision polishing and deburring of diverse-sized glass parts under magnification.
• Knowledge of parts inspection and statistical process control.
• US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate bench equipment to polish and clean glass parts.
• Perform deburring and polishing on hard-to-handle parts.
• Work from drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Check work with measuring equipment.
• Operate hand and bench tools.
• Use grit, lapping, and polishing compounds.
