Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations Performance Engineer at our Bayport Operations site in La Porte, TX. The engineer will support batch reaction processes as well as logistics and utilities operations, applying technical skills to optimize plant operations and enable safe, efficient production of low-cost, quality products.

This role requires broad knowledge to serve as a vital resource for Operations, leading improvements aligned with PSTP, GTP, and business objectives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
At least 4 years of relevant experience.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Understand chemistries, equipment, and processing tech in area of responsibility.
Evaluate production losses and deviation data.
Analyze KPIs, asset utilization, and trends to validate results and identify improvements.
Prioritize corrective actions to close performance gaps (utilization, yield, uptime, quality).
Understand mass and energy balance and correlate losses to value.
Lead improvement opportunities aligned with PSTP and GTP and business goals.
Lead capital and non-capital projects using standard processes.
Provide leadership during maintenance, incident response, commissioning, and start-up.
