Job summary

Allen Integrated Solutions, LLC seeks a Subject Matter Expert in Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) research engineering to support NGA in infrared sensing, space-based missile warning, data exploitation, and algorithm development.

The role requires extensive EO/IR systems knowledge, data-analysis experience, and collaboration with government, industry, and research partners on next-generation sensing technologies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 15+ years in EO/IR algorithm development.
• Advanced EO/IR signal processing, AI/ML applications experience.
• Detailed experience with OPIR data formats and processing pipelines.
• Advanced Python development skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for diagnosing sensor issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead prototyping and development of advanced OPIR data-processing algorithms and support their transition into operational environments.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot data-processing pipelines, identify anomalies, and coordinate remediation strategies.
• Support development of white papers, technical documentation, and technology-transition plans.
• Collaborate with research organizations, DoD stakeholders, IC organizations, and external agencies.
