Job summary

Verto People Ltd is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Associate with a focus on ophthalmology trials to oversee regional site monitoring across the West Coast. The role supports independent site visits, monitors patient enrollment and data integrity, and provides guidance to junior CRAs from a remote/regional setup.

The candidate should have ophthalmology trial monitoring experience, strong knowledge of FDA regulations/ICH-GCP, and be able to travel up to 65% while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Previous ophthalmology clinical trial monitoring experience is essential.
• Located on the West Coast and able to travel up to 65%.
• Proven senior CRA with independent site monitoring responsibilities.
• Experience in CRO/pharma/biotech environments.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, and monitoring requirements.
• Experience conducting qualification, initiation, interim, and closeout visits.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant life sciences or nursing qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage regional investigative site monitoring activities.
• Conduct site qualification, initiation, interim monitoring, and closeout visits.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ICH‑GCP, study protocols and SOPs.
• Review source data, CRFs and regulatory documents to ensure data quality.
• Monitor patient enrollment, protocol deviations, adverse events, and IP accountability.
• Build strong relationships with investigators, study coordinators, sponsors and clinical teams.
• Identify and resolve site-level operational challenges and data discrepancies.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior CRAs.
