Job summary

Sika Schweiz AG (Group) is seeking a Senior Operator to drive daily production activities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The role requires independent work within a team, adherence to site policies, and proactive participation in housekeeping and process improvements.

Responsibilities include executing batch processes, ensuring equipment readiness, completing SAP confirmations, and supporting shift setups and transitions.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Operator is responsible for the timely execution of daily production requirements, achieving safety, housekeeping, quality and rate objectives and participating in continuous improvement activities as directed.
• The Senior Operator must be able to work independently within the framework of a team while demonstrating a positive attitude.
• To understand and comply with all Sika safety, site security and environmental policies.
• Achieve established housekeeping objectives adhering to established best practices and ensuring work areas are maintained and left in a clean and orderly fashion.
• To execute production processes according to established quality guidelines while reporting process variations in a timely fashion.
• To understand and attain the daily production schedule.
• To ensure that production processes achieve optimum rate-of-output.
• To ensure proper set-up of materials and good operating condition of the equipment prior to executing batch making processes and to assist as directed with the set-up for incoming shifts.
• Complete SAP order confirmations in an accurate and timely manner.
• Senior Operators may assist with other SAP related processes including return-to-stock orders and materials requisitioning.
• To execute production activities including batch making, packaging of finished goods, product set-ups and changeovers and other production activities as directed by the Production Supervisor / Manager.
• To operate and maintain equipment according to best practices and assist in preventive maintenance activities and troubleshooting as needed.
• To work with a positive attitude and as a team towards a common goal.
• Guide, assist and train new and temporary employees.
• To lead, participate or support continuous improvement activities as directed by Management.
• To execute other projects or activities to-be-determined as directed by Management.
