Abode Money is seeking a highly autonomous operations leader in Austin to own 0-to-1 launches, shape product requirements from customer pain points, and run high-impact initiatives with data-backed decisions.

You will manage appeals filing at scale, translating local property tax regulations into actionable guidance for product and engineering, while collaborating with leadership to drive fast, owned outcomes. This is a hands-on role for an ownership-driven professional.

Qualifications

• You’re in Austin or willing to relocate; in-person 4 days a week.
• 3+ years of experience in consulting, banking, product, operations, or early-stage startups.
• Track record of taking projects from idea to execution independently.
• Proficient with AI (ChatGPT, Claude) and data tools (Excel/SQL).

The Role

We’re looking for a highly autonomous utility player to lead operations initiatives. This role will work closely with the CEO and COO.
This role is built for someone who wants real ownership, thrives on accountability, is deeply data-oriented, and will run through walls to get the job done.

What You’ll Do

• Own 0-to-1 Launches: Lead new market and operational launches from ambiguity to execution, building the playbooks, workflows, and systems needed to scale.
  

• Shape Product from the Front Lines: Translate customer pain points, contractor workflows, and county-specific edge cases into clear product requirements that help engineering build faster, more accurate, and more scalable tools.

• Operations Swiss Army Knife: Take on ambiguous, high-impact problems and drive them to completion with urgency, ownership, and data-backed decision-making.
  

• Manage Appeals Filing at Scale: Own the full appeals filing process across counties, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance while managing a team of 5+ contractors.
  

• Translate Regulations into Action: Research and interpret local property tax regulations, create clear customer-facing guides, and surface local nuances to the product and engineering teams.

• You are Proficient with AI (ChatGPT, Claude) and data (Excel/Google, SQL) tools.
