Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Nashville is seeking a hands-on engineering leader to drive next-generation AMZL delivery station development from concept to execution. You will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Tech, and Operations to deliver high-value, cost-effective solutions for last-mile infrastructure.

You will influence senior leaders, manage large-scale programs, and own roadmaps while ensuring customer-focused outcomes and scalable design standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
• Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead idea generation for innovative design/process solutions to existing operational problems.
• Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements for the current and next generation of AMZL Delivery Station.
• Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products.
• Own and deliver against plans, providing network reporting, financial approval and leadership approval for all stages of program progression.
• Act as technical expert in area of ownership, providing technical expertise to other Engineering teams, alongside providing technical challenge for suppliers and partners.
• Own internal process innovations across the Engineering Org, including owning road‑mapping and planning for given area of responsibility and ensuring roadmap is delivered.
• Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Coordinate with Tech/Software teams, driving the operational execution of software enhancements as well as ensuring the software supports the physical design/process innovations.
• 25% expected travel based on business needs

AMZL Process Engineering Team is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented engineering leader to lead the initiative of developing and delivering next generation, world-class delivery stations. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazon’s growth to drive end to end product delivery from inception to execution. We are looking for a hands‑on leader with experience managing new product and process development for high dollar value programs. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost‑effective solutions for our last mile delivery systems.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech, Supply Chain, Finance, Safety, as well as Operations to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station. You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast‑paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on the short, medium and long‑term, incremental and radical innovation of process infrastructure, layout and standards for new launch and legacy delivery stations. Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
• Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
• Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes
• 7+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
• Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization
