Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to support the US Navy MIREM program at SMWDC in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on operations research, statistics, and data analysis within MIW/MCM contexts.

The ideal candidate will lead analysis teams, perform trend analyses, validate probabilistic models, and present findings to naval stakeholders. A DoD Secret clearance is preferred, with onsite work at SMWDC in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, or similar field.
• Six years experience leading analysis teams.
• Four years experience in operational research, statistics, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with analytical software tools such as Matlab, SAS, and Excel.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate warfighting gap technical solutions using MOEs/MOPs across warfare areas.
• Conduct statistical trend analysis on sensor, system, weapon and countermeasure data.
• Investigate validity of probabilistic models and algorithms.
• Ensure design and execution of M&S studies meet objectives.
• Communicate prioritized results to naval commands, labs, and program offices.
• Provide insights during workshops and respond to statistical queries.
• Supervise the performance of other analysts and data engineers.
