Raymond James & Associates in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Java/OpenText Exstream Engineer to design, develop, and support document generation and backend services within the Enterprise Document Management and Client Onboarding ecosystem.

This hybrid role requires hands-on work with OpenText Exstream, Java, Spring, REST APIs, and microservices, delivering end-to-end solutions from templates to integrations across systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of application development experience delivering enterprise solutions.
• Hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream 16.2+ and Exstream Designer, including templates, layouts, and data-driven outputs.
• Strong development experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server or Oracle) including data integration.
• Experience with XML data mapping, Unix/Linux, source control, CI/CD, and Agile practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support document generation solutions using OpenText Exstream, including templates and PDF/HTML outputs.
• Build backend applications and services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions across document generation, data, and integrations.
• Perform data mapping and integration across XML, databases, APIs, and files.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, developers, and QA throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive resolution in production and integration environments.
• Contribute to technical standards, reusable components, CI/CD, and platform modernization.
