Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior OpenShift Virtualization Administrator in the Washington DC area to lead enterprise CNV operations on OpenShift Container Platform. You will design, deploy, and optimize CNV, KubeVirt, and related services for secure, resilient VM infrastructure.

You will coordinate 24x7 operations, incident response, and migration waves using MTV/Forklift, Argo CD, and GitOps patterns while guiding a virtualization team through steady-state and migration delivery.

Qualifications

• 9–12 years in enterprise server virtualization and OpenShift Virtualization.
• Hands-on with OpenShift Virtualization / KubeVirt or comparable platforms.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead admin/design activities for CNV on OpenShift Container Platform.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain CNV, KubeVirt, CDI, and cluster services.
• Manage full VM lifecycle: provisioning, live migration, cloning, snapshots.
• Configure VM networking/storage to meet performance and availability.
• Ensure HA, DR readiness, and performance tuning across nodes.
• Troubleshoot across OpenShift stack and VM guest layer.
• Coordinate incident triage with EOC in 24x7 operations.
• Plan workloads, migrations, and governance reporting.
