Job summary

Natera is seeking a Product Development Sr. Research Associate to design, execute, and support experiments for oncology product development and V&V studies under design control for NGS assays.

The role requires meticulous wet-lab work, strong data handling, and cross-team coordination in a fast-paced lab environment. The ideal candidate has a molecular biology background with lab experience in DNA/RNA techniques, NGS library preparation, and the ability to communicate results clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry or related field with a minimum of 4 years of laboratory and/or relevant industry experience or MS with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with DNA extraction from biological samples (blood, plasma, tissue) and nucleic acid techniques (purification, quantification, amplification).
• Experience with NGS library preparation and Illumina sequencing platforms; familiarity with regulatory environments (IVD, CLIA/CAP) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute low to moderate complexity experimental workflows including cfDNA extraction and NGS library prep.
• Assist with development and V&V of oncology assays.
• Maintain detailed electronic lab notebooks and records using Google Sheets, Excel, and internal databases.
• Analyze data with statistical tools and interpret results.
• Draft study protocols, reports, SOPs and work instructions.
• Coordinate across teams to ensure timely execution of studies.
