Job summary

Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving with an end-to-end AI approach. The robotics team develops onboard localisation to enable vehicles to reason about pose and motion in real time, combining GNSS, IMU and wheel odometry with optional camera, LiDAR or RADAR data.

This senior IC role focuses on architecture, algorithm development, productionisation and mentorship across robotics, calibration, controls, sensors and embedded software to ensure a robust, observable

Qualifications

• Deep practical expertise in localisation, state estimation or sensor fusion combining GNSS, IMU and wheel odometry.
• Strong understanding of Kalman-filter based estimation and nonlinear optimization techniques.
• Experience deploying localisation/state-estimation in real-time robotics or autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical architecture and roadmap for onboard localisation.
• Lead development of robust state-estimation systems fusing GNSS, IMU and wheel odometry (with other sensors as needed).
• Take localisation solutions from design to production on real-time vehicle platforms, including fault handling.
