Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an experienced Field Construction Manager to lead day-to-day on-site construction activities across varied industrial projects, including large facilities and data centers. You will supervise field staff, subcontractors, and coordination with engineering and project controls to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

You will drive project execution plans, interface with clients and authorities, and manage progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree and 17 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on a similar project required.
• Or Associate Degree and 19 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on a similar project required.
• Or High School Diploma/GED and 21 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on a similar project. Preferred
• Strong understanding of all construction disciplines.
• Position requires excellent communications skills and supervisory skills of field construction personnel.
• Must be able to meet company's driving requirements.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall day-to-day on-site administrative and technical management of all field personnel, subcontractors, and construction activities on a project site.
• Direct, coordinate and supervise on-site discipline superintendents, scheduling, engineering, cost control, material control, commercial management, and administrative staff.
• Oversee and direct construction progress tracking and forecasting including Field Progress Measurement Systems and Critical Path Scheduling.
• Coordinate and communicate with Engineering Managers and Discipline Engineers to plan and sequence engineering deliverables and resolve field engineering items.
• Develop and implement Project Execution Plans, project procedures, working documents, site procedures and project standards.
• Interface with client representatives, municipal authorities and other contractors as necessary to execute projects.
• Oversee craft supervision and project staffing as required.
• Provide oversight of project site material and tool management.
