Job summary

ESB Technologies seeks an seasoned DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, build, and automate on‑prem VMware infrastructure using Terraform and IaC. You will containerize and deploy services with Docker, on‑prem and in Amazon ECS, while building CI/CD pipelines in Bitbucket.

You'll provide operational support for production AWS environments, contribute to PostgreSQL migrations, and automate Linux systems at scale, communicating across engineering, product, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and administering VMware / on-premises infrastructure.
• Deep Terraform and IaC expertise.
• Docker in production; Amazon ECS experience.
• CI/CD fluency, ideally with Bitbucket Pipelines.
• PostgreSQL experience, including at least one migration or modernization project.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting/automation.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and on-call realities.
• Clear, effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate on-prem VMware infrastructure using Terraform and IaC.
• Containerize and deploy services with Docker, on-prem and in Amazon ECS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Bitbucket.
• Provide operational support for production AWS environments (incident response, performance, cost, hardening).
• Contribute to PostgreSQL migration and modernization work.
• Administer and automate Linux systems at scale.
• Support integrations with third-party APIs and enterprise partners.
• Communicate clearly with engineering, product, and business stakeholders—this role has a lot of cross-team surface area.
