Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in SQL Server and OLTP design.
• Solid experience building or consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with Azure services: Azure SQL Database, API Management, Azure Blob Storage.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS for data migration/integration tasks.
• Experience with ETL development for batch sync or migration needs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain OLTP pipelines for real-time data processing.
• Build and consume APIs for data ingestion and retrieval from operational systems.
• Design SQL Server schemas optimized for transactional workloads; normalization, indexing, concurrency control, and locking behavior.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and transaction logic for high-throughput operations.
• Ensure ACID compliance across services.
• Develop ETL processes to support data migration and system integration.
• Handle API request/response cycles: validation, error handling, retries, and rate limiting.
• Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and tune for scale.
• Deploy and manage data services using Azure tools (Azure SQL Database, API Management, Azure Blob).
• Use SSIS for data migration or integration tasks.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate data layers into services.
• Create documentation for system architecture, API contracts, and database schemas.
