Job summary

Bowman Consulting is seeking a Planner/Scheduler III for Oil & Gas in Houston, TX to support planning, scheduling, resource loading, and baseline variance analysis on medium to large projects.

Ideal candidates will have 4–7 years of experience, strong scheduling tool knowledge (MS Project, Primavera P6), and proficiency with ERP systems and Power BI. Bowman offers a competitive package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Technical field preferred.
• 4-7 years of experience in project controls or scheduling.
• Strong working knowledge of project control functions and ERP tools (MS Dynamics 365, MS Project, Primavera P6, Power BI).
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills; written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Experience with standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
• Prepare plans and schedules for medium size and complex projects.
• Obtain project team buy-in/approval of schedule assumptions and baselines.
• Ensure changes to schedule baselines are approved prior to execution.
• Provide timely and accurate schedule updates based on coordination with the Project Team.
• Facilitate planning workshops to define project schedule activity scope and dependencies.
• Create, assign, and maintain schedule EPS, WBS, Activity Calendars, Activity Codes, Global Changes, and Resources.
• Review external supplier/contractor schedules for integration into Master Schedule.
• Validate schedule forecast accuracy and produce variance analysis documentation.
• Provide inputs for Cost and Schedule Risk Assessments (CSRA).
• Assess schedule irregularities to suggest acceleration opportunities and corrective actions.
• Responsible for progress measurement and schedule integration.
• Develop planning/scheduling processes and mentor junior Planner/Schedulers.
