Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks Level 3 Designers with Oil & Gas Facility Electrical and Instrumentation design experience. You will lead design efforts using AutoCAD, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with engineers to ensure compliant, high-quality drawings.

The role requires 8+ years’ AutoCAD experience and a strong understanding of industry standards. The position can be based at TRC offices across the US, with full-time hours and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• An associate degree is required.
• 8+ years in AutoCAD for electrical and instrumentation design.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry codes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and drafting of electrical and instrumentation systems for Oil & Gas facilities using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet specifications.
• Develop detailed drawings: power distribution, lighting, MCC, instrumentation loops.
• Perform calculations for sizing conduit and wiring and ensure safety and standards.
• Mentor junior designers and support field inspections during construction.
