Senior Offshore Shift Supervisor (Construction)

Mission

• Coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with project specifications, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to HSE and Quality procedures and practices.

Tasks

• Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board.
• Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors across various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate construction activities during the shift and optimize all production phases.
• Keep the Offshore Construction Manager fully informed of potential problems and the construction status.
• Liaise with the Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer, and Vessel Equipment Engineer to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors' supervisors to optimize production.
• Solve coordination, priority, and interface issues between different disciplines to meet project scopes.
• Ensure adherence to the Permit-to-Work system for construction crew and that daily Tool Box Talks and JSA are conducted according to procedures.
• Motivate all construction crew/subcontractors regarding health, safety, and environmental awareness.
• Ensure compliance with Saipem QHSE policies and safety procedures to perform activities safely.
• Report incidents and near-miss events.
• Manage crane operations, including coordination with the Chief Mate for main crane movements, ROV launching, and underwater operations.
• Assist marine operations if required.
• Provide construction reports at the end of each shift.
• Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in monitoring project equipment, consumables, and operations of the stinger and JLT.
• Ensure rigging gear is within date and properly marked.
• Report to the Offshore Construction Manager.
