Job summary

Noble Corporation in the United States seeks a Derrickman to operate and monitor rig equipment, support drilling operations, and maintain safety and housekeeping on the rig. You will participate in drilling, workover, and completion activities and ensure equipment integrity and efficient operations.

The role requires 5+ years offshore experience, IWCF Well Control Surface and Subsea Level 3 certification with BOSIET CA-EBS, and proficiency with IFS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Derrickman experience.
• 5+ years offshore experience.
• Valid IWCF Well Control Surface and Subsea, level 3 certificate and BOSIET CA-EBS.
• 5+ years of experience working with IFS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in applications and systems required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Driller during drilling, work over and completion operations.
• Control actual drilling operations under supervision, based on formations and conditions.
• Make trips to change bits, tools, and drill string length as needed.
• Report unusual occurrences to the Driller including rate of penetration and mud weight.
• Participate in regular shut-in drills with the drill crew.
• Recognize pressure problems and take corrective action.
• Coordinate lineups for choke manifold and stand pipe when required.
• Assist service personnel and drill crew during operations.
• Maintain a continuous log of well history and equipment used.
• Maintain Noble paperwork and regulatory documentation.
• Assist in training and development of subordinate personnel.
• Provide leadership for less experienced rig personnel.
