Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator in Jacksonville, FL to lead OCI migration, optimize performance, and ensure security compliance. The role focuses on migrating on-premises databases to OCI Exadata with RAC, stabilizing operations, and delivering reliable, scalable database services for critical business systems.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience, hands-on OCI administration, and strong change-management experience in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Oracle 19c+ database administration in large enterprises.
• Experience with OEM for monitoring and management.
• RMAN backup/recovery and Data Guard knowledge.
• OCI migration experience with Exadata and RAC.
• Networking, IAM, storage/backups in OCI.
• SQL/PLSQL tuning and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting large transactional systems and E-Business Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support OCI migration of enterprise Oracle databases to Exadata RAC.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and HA validation.
• Provide production support for large-scale databases.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple teams.
• Assist testing cycles and post-migration stabilization.
