The Senior Underwriting Specialist - Ocean Cargo at American International Group, Inc. (AIG) will leverage deep Marine Cargo expertise to underwrite large accounts and manage strategic broker relationships from our New York office.

You will contribute to pricing strategy, participate in portfolio reviews, and drive profitable growth while upholding AIG’s standards for service and inclusion. Base salary ranges from $118,000 to $178,000, with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Minimum 7+ years of Commercial Insurance Company, Agency or Brokerage experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of Marine Cargo line of business.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and prioritize tasks.
• Strong financial understanding and negotiation focus.

Responsabilidades

• Providing technical direction to management, underwriters, producers, and claims adjusting colleagues.
• Accepting, declining or modifying new and renewal submissions with exposure analysis.
• Completing strategic account and portfolio reviews.
• Managing a book of business and contributing to regional budgets.
• Setting new business production goals and submission flow.
• Collaborating with North American Marine Leadership and brokers to target accounts.
• Developing pricing, terms, and deal structures with brokers and clients.
• Providing superior customer service to brokers and clients.
• Representing AIG at client and broker meetings and functions.
• Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, diversity and inclusion.
