Job summary

SEARHC seeks an OB/GYN consultant to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across the consortium, including inpatient and outpatient services in Juneau and affiliated centers. You will evaluate complex cases, perform surgeries, and participate in perioperative management and on-call coverage.

The role requires an MD or DO, valid Alaska medical license, completion of an ACGME residency in obstetrics and gynecology or equivalent, and board certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Surgical skills related to obstetrics and gynecology.
• Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Specialty obstetrics skills including management of difficult or complicated births.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive obstetrical services to inpatients and outpatients, including evaluations and recommendations for therapy.
• Consults with family practice physicians on complex obstetrical decisions and management.
• Performs obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures across all aspects of the specialty.
• Covers on-call duties for OB/GYN emergencies and collaborates with perioperative teams.
