Job summary
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks an experienced Nurse IV Deputy Associate Director for Patient Care Service / Deputy Nurse Executive.
The role demands strategic leadership of complex nursing programs, ensuring timely, high-quality Veteran care with cross-disciplinary collaboration across services. The incumbent will shape policy, oversee staffing, and champion a high reliability, evidence-based care culture across the facility while managing diverse clinical operations and workforce
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with 4 years of professional nursing experience.
- Doctoral degree in nursing with 3 years of professional nursing experience.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN licensure in the United States or DC.
- Foreign nursing education not creditable unless validated by a recognized agency.
Responsibilities
- Lead health care delivery with evidence-based practices and innovative care models.
- Serve on the Executive Leadership Team and collaborate with other disciplines.
- Establish nursing practice standards, staffing plans, and programmatic guidance.
- Promote shared decision-making and a high reliability organization for Veterans care.
- Oversee 24/7 nursing practice across multiple service lines and programs.
