Job summary

DC Health is seeking a Supervisory Nurse Consultant to oversee clinical and regulatory operations within the Health Care Facilities Division and Intermediate Care Facilities Division. You will supervise nurse teams, ensure compliance with federal and District regulations, and provide guidance on licensing and survey processes.

The role emphasizes leadership, diversity and anti-racism practices, and collaboration with facility staff to improve health care services in the District.

Qualifications

• Graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• DC license to practice nursing in the District of Columbia or equivalent.
• Specialized regulatory knowledge for HCFD/ICFD operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily interdisciplinary teams conducting inspections to ensure compliance with District and Federal laws.
• Review and edit survey reports, deficiency notices, and licensing documents for accuracy.
• Provide in-service training and guidance on regulatory matters to staff.
• Investigate complaints and oversee plans of correction with facilities.
