Job summary

Harris Health System seeks a Nurse Clinician III (Competent Specialist) to provide expert nursing care and clinical leadership in our Houston, Texas facilities. The role requires independent patient management within the scope of the Texas Nursing Practice Act and Harris Health Nursing Service guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a current Texas RN license, a BSN to be preferred, and at least three years of RN experience with one year in a leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensure to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support from AHA or Red Cross approved program.
• Three (3) years RN experience.
• One (1) year of clinical leadership experience that meets two of five criteria (preceptor, charge nurse, certification, mentor, CoP chair, QI Champion).
• Designated professional nursing certification for specialty.
