Job summary

GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC seeks a Senior Nuclear Project Manager responsible for full project delivery across design, licensing, procurement, and new product development, ensuring scope, cost, and schedule commitments are met. You will lead project teams, develop plans, manage risks, and maintain KPIs while collaborating with product line leaders and customers.

Strong nuclear industry background and PMP preferred. Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field; 5+ years PM experience in nuclear or a related regulated industry acceptable.
• Minimum 3+ years managing medium to large-scale projects in regulated industries such as energy, aerospace, or healthcare.
• PMP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of project management: scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and resources for assigned projects.
• Provide leadership and strategic oversight to project teams to deliver on time and within cost constraints.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and timelines.
• Identify and manage risks and issues; implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Monitor performance with KPIs and report progress to stakeholders.
• Negotiate contract terms and manage change orders as needed.
• Mentor junior project managers and share best practices.
• Develop specialized nuclear knowledge and stay updated on technical developments.
• Use data analysis to support project decisions and recommendations.
