Job summary

Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo seeks a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform and document high-quality nuclear medicine procedures across age groups in a full-time role with 10-hour variable shifts.

Under minimal supervision, you will support radiologists and the department, contributing to efficient patient care and teamwork. Certification requirements apply on hire, with ongoing CE participation expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience in Nuclear Medicine.
• Participation in continuing education program is required.
• CNMT / NRNT / California NM Certification upon hire or equivalent.
• 1 year experience as a technologist in hospital imaging/center.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document quality nuclear medicine procedures for neonate to geriatric patients.
• Work under minimal supervision and support supervisor and radiologist in department duties.
• Promote teamwork and patient-focused care to ensure excellent service.

Description

Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Mission Hospital Mission Viejo. This position is Full time and will work 10-hour Variable Shifts. Under minimal supervision, performs and documents quality nuclear medicine procedures (invasive and noninvasive) on neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a timely manner as ordered by the physician. Supports supervisor and radiologist in carrying out their duties that in turn contribute to an effective and efficient Nuclear Medicine department. Promotes positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other employees demonstrating teamwork to ensure excellent patient care, esprit de corps, and positive comments from all concerned parties.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a technologist in the area of expertise in a hospital setting and/or Imaging Center.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent education/experience


• Coursework/Training: Participate in continuing education program.


• Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, Or


• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology


• Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification


• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association


• 1 year experience as a technologist in the area of expertise in a hospital setting and/or Imaging Center.
