AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a variety of imaging procedures while complying with ALARA safety principles. You will handle radiopharmaceuticals, document in EMR/PACS, and maintain equipment with daily QC checks.

Requirements include knowledge of radiology software, good English communication, and an Associate degree (preferred). This on-site, PRN role offers growth within a faith-based healthcare system focused on whole-person care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred in radiology or related field.
• Licensure: CNMT preferred; ARRT/ARRT-equivalent credentials may apply.
• Experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to radiation safety and ALARA principles with proper handling of radioactive materials.
• Maintains records including patient doses and procedural documentation per regulatory standards.
• Performs daily quality control and equipment checks and reports issues promptly.
• Assists in inventory control and prepares radiopharmaceuticals as ordered.
• Maintains EMR and PACS documentation; explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort.
• Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures with camera acquisition and processing.
• Verifies patient identity and screens for contraindications prior to procedures.
