Job summary

Framatome North America is seeking a System Designer for Instrumentation & Control Safety Systems to define, integrate, and architect safety‑related control systems for nuclear modernization projects. This role ensures regulatory compliance, functional safety, and alignment with product strategy while delivering value to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety standards, licensing frameworks, and regulatory guidance.
  • Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and communicate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Performs non-standard engineering and varied assignments across design, development, analysis, and testing.
  • Works autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
  • Independently applies diverse technical techniques and criteria for new tasks.
  • Develops and maintains system-level architecture for safety I&C systems.
  • Translates regulatory and customer requirements into clear specifications and interfaces.
