Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region seeks a Finance Director to lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, payroll, and internal controls for the affiliate and its ReStore. The role partners with leadership and the Board to provide actionable financial insight.

The position requires nonprofit accounting expertise; experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
Five or more years of accounting or financial management experience.
Nonprofit accounting and financial management experience preferred.
Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
Experience supervising or managing staff preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting practices.

Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day financial operations of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region and ReStore.
Ensure GAAP-compliant accounting records and filing of payroll, tax, and other financial documents.
Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, and internal controls.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to leadership and board.
Lead finance staff and coordinate with auditors and external partners.
