Castalia Systems is seeking a Sr. Application Developer to support our client in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments, planning and leading major technology initiatives.

The role is hybrid with 2 days per week onsite, offering opportunities to contribute as a technical expert within cross-functional teams and to mentor others as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience related to the labor category, with recent work in the last 2 years.
• Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category, or Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of senior related experience (total 10 years).
• Experience using Node.js with Typescript, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• May supervise others.
