Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a Senior Node.js Developer for a CONTRACT role in the DMV area (Woodbridge, NJ or DMV).

The role focuses on building APIs and interfaces with Node.js on the backend and Angular on the frontend within an Agile, CI/CD driven environment. You will work with a stack including Node.js, NestJS/Express.js, Angular, TypeScript, Jest, PostgreSQL, and AWS services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in software development.
• 3+ years of hands-on, production-level experience with Node.js (Express.js, NestJS, or equivalent frameworks).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (v12+), including RxJS, Angular CLI, Angular Material, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and serverless development.
• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum teams and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business development team to understand customers' goals.
• Design, develop, and modify software systems using Node.js and Angular.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
• Build, test, deploy, and document components via CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior staff in Angular, Node.js, and CI/CD workflows.
