Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Node.js developer in New York to design, build, and maintain serverless applications on AWS Lambda. You will implement IVR flows with Amazon Connect and Lex, create integrations across CRM and databases, and deliver secure, scalable APIs in a collaborative, enterprise environment.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, automated testing, and solid cloud security practices, with opportunities to optimize performance and reliability across complex contact-center solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of Node.js development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS development experience.
• Experience developing and deploying AWS Lambda functions.
• Experience with Amazon Connect and/or Amazon Lex.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and microservices.
• Experience with AWS services including API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge.
• Experience using Git and GitHub for source control and CI/CD.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Node.js apps on AWS Lambda.
• Build IVR and self-service workflows with Amazon Connect and Lex.
• Develop integrations between contact centers and enterprise systems.
• Create reusable Lambda services for auth, routing, and case management.
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures with AWS.
• Implement secure coding practices and data protection controls.
• Contribute to CI/CD and deployment automation using GitHub and AWS DevOps.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, QA, and stakeholders.
• Develop automated tests and create deployment runbooks.
