Job summary

GlobalPoint Alpharetta, GA is hiring a Node/Java Developer for a hybrid role. You will build middle-layer services with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and Java within a SOA framework, collaborating across PMO, product, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of software development experience, strong design-pattern and CI/CD knowledge, and hands-on API expertise (REST/SOAP/JSON) with Tomcat/Maven. Mentoring teammates is included.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in design patterns, CI/CD, and deployments.
• Experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, TypeScript, Node.js, Kafka and Active MQ.
• Experience with J2EE/servlets.
• Experience with Tomcat and Maven.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON APIs.
• DB experience (Oracle, DB2, Sybase).
• SOA experience and strong OO design knowledge.
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP/JSON and API design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMO, development, product and ops teams.
• Design and develop middle-layer services using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java and/or C#/.Net.
• Draft and review architecture diagrams, specs and business requirements.
• Work with Java, C++, Linux/Unix, open-source platforms and SOA in next-gen solutions.
• Acquire understanding of financial products and processes to propose optimal solutions.
• Mentor other software developers.
