Job summary

Teradata seeks a Principal NLP Engineer to own design, development, and deployment of advanced NLP tech powering enterprise AI at scale. You will lead semantic analysis, context graphs, retrieval, knowledge extraction, and reasoning across Teradata Context Engine in a hybrid, enterprise setting.

You should bring 12+ years in software and 8+ years in production NLP/ML, with deep expertise in transformer models, retrieval, and knowledge graphs, plus a track record of shipping at scale.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Computer Science, AI, ML, NLP or related field required.
• 12+ years of software engineering; 8+ years building production NLP and ML systems.
• Recognized leader in NLP, language AI, search, retrieval, or LLM-based systems.
• Deep hands-on experience deploying large-scale NLP systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic NLP roadmap for the knowledge platform.
• Lead architecture and production deployment of large-scale NLP systems.
• Develop enterprise NLP solutions across extraction, grounding, and reasoning.
• Mentor engineers and establish NLP engineering best practices.
