Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of Physician Assistant program.
• PA licensure within the first three months after application for medical staff membership and privilege.
• Physician Assistant certification.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete initial evaluations and order labs/imaging.
• Coordinate treatment plans with supervising physician.
• Assess patient/family psychosocial needs and education during admission.
• Examine patients and interpret findings to identify problems.
• Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to age and needs.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and team.
• Triage and refer to appropriate sources as needed.
• May orient/train new PAs and assist with staff scheduling.
• Participate in rounds and daily patient management.
