Job summary

SonicWall Milpitas, CA is seeking a Test Principal Engineer with a strong networking background to lead advanced troubleshooting and testing of enterprise networking and security products. You will act as SME for escalations, design robust test environments, and drive resolution for high-impact customer issues, leveraging SSL, HA, and state synchronization expertise.

The role requires 7–10+ years in networking, deep protocol knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
7–10+ years in networking, network security, QA, or related engineering discipline.
Experience supporting enterprise networking environments and managing escalations.
Strong problem solving, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for escalated issues from SonicWall Enterprise customers.
Lead troubleshooting using Wireshark, Netmon, and other diagnostics.
Act as technical focal point for high-impact incidents and drive resolution.
Design and maintain test environments to reproduce customer issues.
Define test strategies and validation plans for networking and security products.
Collaborate with Engineering, Support, QA, and Product teams to root cause issues.
Work under high pressure while managing multiple priorities.
