Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation in Santa Clara seeks a Senior Networking Software Architect to shape platform architecture for NICs and network management across data-center workloads.

You will drive a cohesive hardware-software co-design approach with GPU, NIC, DPU teams, defining software stacks and APIs and leading strategic research in next-gen networking and GPU convergence.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in systems/platform architecture, with senior leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of NIC/DPU architectures, GPU computing, and large-scale networks.
• Ability to drive multi-team alignment and complex platform solutions.
• Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.

NVIDIA is looking for a dedicated Senior Networking Software Architect to join our team in Santa Clara. What You'll Be Doing:

• Define and take responsibility for the complete platform architecture covering NICs and network management for computing clusters and data-centers.
• Drive the strategic vision for coordinated platform solutions addressing AI training/inference and cloud-native workloads.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with GPU, NIC, DPU, and network management groups to ensure seamless hardware-software co-design.
• Define platform-level software stacks, APIs, and management frameworks that orchestrate networking, compute, and acceleration resources.
• Conduct and lead research into emerging network technologies, GPU-networking convergence, and large-scale cluster management.
• Collaborate closely with hardware platform architects to define and communicate software requirements, ensuring they are reflected in future hardware platform builds and architectural decisions.

What We Need to See:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in systems/platform architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
• Strong knowledge of NIC/DPU architectures, GPU computing, and managing networks on a large scale.
• Demonstrated experience in outlining and providing complex, multi-component platform solutions.
• Outstanding ability to drive alignment across hardware, software, and product teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and drive innovative solutions for complex requirements.

Ways to Stand Out from the crowd:

• Proven experience directing large-scale, cross-functional engineering programs - from architecture definition through delivery - with a history of delivering complex systems on schedule and at scale.
• Familiarity with network management and orchestration frameworks such as UFM, DOCA, or Kubernetes networking.
• Background in defining platform standards or reference architectures adopted across the industry.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and other objective job-related factors. The expected base salary ranges for this position are:

184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4; and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits .
