Job summary

El Paso Community College seeks a seasoned Network Engineer to plan, design, implement, and analyze the District-wide network and infrastructure, including wireless and VoIP. On-campus work is essential, with supervision of network teams and ongoing performance monitoring.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of related experience or equivalent, CCNP/CCDA or equivalent within six months, and strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Cisco routers/switches, VoIP, wireless, and LAN/WAN environments.
• CCNP/CCDA or equivalent within six months of hire.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in network design, IP routing, and fault isolation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and analyze District network and infrastructure.
• Supervise and guide network, wireless, and VoIP teams.
• Monitor performance, security, and health of Cisco Call Manager, LAN/WAN, and wireless.
• Develop RFP/SOWs for network infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate integration of LANs and directory services.
• Maintain accurate topology and configuration documentation.
• Lead after-hours troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
• Travel as required within the District.
