Job summary

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Principal Network/Systems Engineer to support a government customer in Carson, CA, with potential needs at Columbus, OH; Bedford, MA; Fort Lee, VA; and Smyrna, GA. The role focuses on senior engineering for complex migrations, troubleshooting, and cross-technology integration.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional integration, advanced troubleshooting, deployment of security tools, IaC scripting, and performance

Qualifications

• Clearance: Secret at minimum, TS/SCI may be required for sensitive systems.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s in a technical field (CS, engineering, etc.).
• IAT III and CE certifications (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security) are preferred.
• Experience: 12–15+ years in IT infrastructure within federal/defense environments.

Responsibilities

• Complex Systems Integration: lead hands-on integration of cross-functional technologies.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: identify and fix enterprise outages with deep analysis.
• Emerging Tech Deployment: roll out EDR/SDP across a distributed workforce.
• IaC Development: script and maintain Terraform/Ansible/Puppet deployments.
• Performance Engineering: stress tests and load balance optimization across sites.
