Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Network/Systems engineer to sustain and maintain NCIS Enterprise and cyber security posture. The role is based on site in Quantico, VA, supporting Navy networks and DoD-grade systems.

The position requires a TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years of naval network/system engineering experience, and familiarity with SharePoint, AD, Visio, ISE, and DNA Center. Onsite work in Quantico, VA is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years (or commensurate experience).
• Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing network/system engineering services for the US Navy.
• Experience with unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret networks.
• Experience with SharePoint, Active Directory, MS Visio, Cisco ISE, and DNA Center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates planning, design, and installation of equipment using engineering knowledge and computers.
• Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of concepts.
• Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
• Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment, and devices.
• Generates system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
• Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
• Reviews test plans/procedures to meet contractual objectives and participates in testing to validate requirements.

Job description

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Network/Systems engineer to sustain and maintain the NCIS Enterprise and Cyber Security defensive cyber posture and enterprise business applications. This position will be located in Quantico, VA and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
