NVIDIA Experience Solutions Engineering is seeking a senior Computer or Software Engineer to become an authority in cutting‑edge networking technology used in AI clusters, bridging customer support and R&D.

The role involves reproducing and resolving complex customer issues, rapid bug fixes with R&D, live triage with customer engineers, and developing tools for field analysis. Strong communication with diverse teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering or related (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience developing software (C, C++, Python, or Go).
• 5+ years of experience directly supporting end‑customers, partners, or integrators for network equipment and infrastructures.
• Experience analyzing, developing, and debugging at least two of: Linux NIC drivers, switch ASICs and SDKs, embedded network device firmware, Linux-based network equipment, network operating systems.
• Expert knowledge of Ethernet and IP routing down to the protocol’s byte level.
• Ability to analyze evolving end‑to‑end systems flow and find logic bugs in a complex environment.
• Passion and motivation to isolate, root cause, and resolve high‑impact issues with executive visibility.

Overview

The NVIDIA Experience (NVEX) Solutions Engineering team is looking for a senior Computer or Software Engineer who is ready to become an authority in ground‑breaking network technology used in AI clusters. Our team of software engineers bridges the gap between the customer support teams and R&D, focusing on the resolution of tough problems from the front lines and providing the highest level of support for InfiniBand, NVLink, and Spectrum‑X network systems that interconnect GPUs and AI compute infrastructure.

The level of work we do requires a software engineering background for deep code and logic analysis. It is also essential to have a proven grasp of in‑field, production network operations and a history of collaborating closely with both customer engineering teams and internal R&D to triage and resolve major issues. Candidates must be very comfortable interacting with and relaying technical information to various groups ranging from R&D engineers, support groups, account teams, and executive‑level management. The individual will interact daily with both internal and external customers, so superb interpersonal and communication skills are essential. SE team members also get to spend time working within R&D groups taking on feature development and bug fixes to directly enhance the products we support.

Standard Work Schedule

Wednesday through Sunday.

What You Will Be Doing

What We Need To See

• Candidates must have software development experience in the networking industry either for a network hardware manufacturer or software integrator.
• Candidates must have experience working directly with customers and support groups to triage and resolve critical in‑field, in‑production networking problems.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering or related (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience developing software (C, C++, Python, or Go).
• 5+ years of experience directly supporting end‑customers, partners, or integrators for network equipment and infrastructures.
• Experience analyzing, developing, and debugging at least two of the following: Linux NIC drivers, switch ASICs and SDKs, embedded network device firmware, Linux‑based network equipment (routers, switches, gateways, etc.), network operating systems.
• Expert knowledge of Ethernet and IP routing down to the protocol’s byte level.
• Ability to analyze and learn evolving end‑to‑end systems flow, quickly learn how unfamiliar software layers are integrated, and be able to find logic bugs within an increasingly complex environment.
• Passion and motivation to isolate, root cause, and resolve high‑impact issues with executive visibility.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and comparable employees. The base salary range is $140,000 – $224,250 for Level 3 and $168,000 – $270,250 for Level 4. Equity and benefits are also available.
