HCL Technologies Limited in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to lead firewall operations and secure enterprise networks. You will implement changes, configure devices, and coordinate with carriers and vendors to ensure seamless deployments.

The role requires deep expertise in Check Point, Juniper, Cisco, and various firewall technologies, with strong Linux/UNIX skills and ITIL-aligned change management practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' networking experience with a security focus
• 2–5 years Linux/UNIX experience
• CCSE or equivalent security cert
• CCNP or equivalent routing cert
• Strong knowledge of STP, VLANs, and trunking
• Proficient in EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, NAT
• Experience with IOS and other network OS
• ITIL familiarity and change management
• Experience documenting deployment processes
• Ability to work in a global virtual team

Responsibilities

• Implement firewall change requests and manage related Layer 2/Layer 3 router changes.
• Create and install Checkpoint objects for initial firewall policy configurations.
• Build, configure, and manage firewall devices including Checkpoint, Juniper, and Cisco.
• Build and configure proxies and IDS.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting in security environments, including fault escalation and resolution.
• Liaise with carriers and vendors to coordinate installations, upgrades, and support.
• Document deployment processes, security protocols, and change management activities.
• Utilize network monitoring and management tools to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.
