Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to secure and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure, including firewall lifecycle management, GlobalProtect VPN, automation, vulnerability remediation and incident response.

This role involves onsite testing, troubleshooting and deployment activities during project rollouts, with emphasis on designing automation workflows and improving threat defense capabilities. Located in driving distance to Marietta Technology Center.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in network and security engineering or operations.
• Solid understanding of switching and routing; Cisco certification is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Cyber Security; Palo Alto Certification is a plus.
• Solid understanding of VPN technology; Hands on GlobalProtect VPN solution is a plus.
• Hands on experience with Linux operating systems.
• Hands on experience with programming language such as Ansible or Python.
• Experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is preferred
• Enthusiastic about learning and advancing in network security; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Design automation workflows and capabilities in support of data collection, investigation and incident response.
• Develop threat hunting and data analysis strategy and capabilities.
• Identify and propose new technologies, methodologies and/or approaches to detecting malicious activity.
• Utilize indicators to scope and respond proactively to emerging threats.
• Design, build, configure, maintain and monitor cybersecurity threat defense capabilities and user access management.
