Job summary

Smart Tech Skills LLC is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise network security across Tallahassee, FL. This onsite role focuses on firewall management, VPNs, and secure network architectures.

The candidate will develop segmentation strategies, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards while mentoring security teams and supporting cloud networking initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5-10 years of IT infrastructure and security experience.
• 3-5 years with enterprise security technologies and NIST-based frameworks.
• Extensive experience supporting enterprise networks and cybersecurity environments.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Check Point, GlobalProtect, and cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure and security solutions.
• Administer Palo Alto NGFW, Check Point Firewalls, and GlobalProtect VPN.
• Develop network security architectures, segmentation, and access controls.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, and security events.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigate threats; support DR and HA solutions.

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure and security solutions.
• Administer and maintain:
  • Palo Alto NGFW
  • Check Point Firewalls
  • GlobalProtect VPN
  • Network Security Policies

• Perform firewall deployments, migrations, rule reviews, and policy conversions.

Required Qualifications
