  • Experience creating high-fidelity Physical and Logical inventory systems with 100% accuracy between field assets and databases.
  • Proven experience in automated provisioning and developing textprotos for device deployment.

Job description

RedCloud seeks a Senior Network Project Engineer to support immediate client operations.

Location

United States (Remote). Travel required to oversee critical deployment phases, up to 70%.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Project Engineer to join our team. This role is critical for driving data center migration through the automation, deployment, and scaling of massive network infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution—leading the creation of comprehensive implementation plans, logical/physical inventory systems, and network configurations.

The ideal candidate will leverage advanced network and management skills, specifically including the development of textprotos as network configuration scripts used by automation tools for deploying network devices. You will streamline network provisioning and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and operationally sound infrastructure deployment.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Inventory & Auditing: Responsible for the meticulous creation and maintenance of both physical and logical inventory records.
  • Migration Strategy: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive Migration Plans (MOPs) for complex network transitions, ensuring zero to minimal downtime.
  • Automation & Programming: Integrate programming and automation skills to streamline repetitive network tasks and improve deployment efficiency.
  • Configuration Management: Utilize CIDER-like software environments for network modeling and the development of textprotos to define structured configuration data.
  • Data Management: Maintain high-fidelity data management sheets to track project milestones, asset allocation, and technical specifications.
  • Hardware Implementation: Oversee the installation and configuration of Arista networking equipment within data center environments, proficient with bales type connectors, media converters etc.
  • Advanced Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues within software-based workflows, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance across Arista/Juniper routing and switching infrastructures.
  • Device Provisioning & Turn-Up: Troubleshoot and validate hardware/software configurations during the deployment and activation phases of network turn-up devices.
  • Field Operations & Travel: This role requires a significant on-site presence at various data center locations to oversee critical deployment phases. Travel requirement is approximately 70%.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Proven ability to proactively guide the full technical lifecycle of complex network migrations, including roadmap execution, milestone tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Expert knowledge of L2/L3 protocols, Juniper and Arista EOS. Deep understanding of routing paths, circuit continuity, and high-availability configurations. Good understanding of VXLAN and next generation networks.
  • Experience creating high-fidelity Physical and Logical inventory systems, ensuring 100% accuracy between field assets and databases.
  • Proven experience in automated provisioning. Advanced proficiency in developing textprotos for network device deployment. Desirable experience with automation workflows.
  • Experience using web-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) used by engineers for coding, debugging, and testing. Desirable experience with Google Cider and workspaces.
  • Skills in Technical Diagramming (Lucid carts) and the creation of detailed Implementation Plans (MOPs).
  • Strong ability to monitor automation workflows and proactively perform real-time troubleshooting or escalation for issues during critical deployment phases.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $120,000 - $149,000(USD) + bonus programs + benefits.
