Job summary

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support for national test ranges. A Network Engineer leads complex assignments, installing, operating, testing, and maintaining advanced network equipment and systems across WAN/LAN infrastructures.

You will design configurations, troubleshoot, document solutions, and work with carriers while ensuring security and IP/MPLS readiness. Some roles may require government clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with four years of related experience, or an MS with two years, or a doctorate.
• Engineer III: broad knowledge of engineering concepts and practices for complex projects.
• Ability to apply developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications.
• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions in hardware and software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Planning/organizational skills.
• Must obtain CompTIA Security+ within six months of hire.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead on complex network engineering assignments and represent network interests on other projects.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain network equipment and supporting systems.
• Work across diverse networking equipment and technologies and document solutions.
• Manage WAN/LAN infrastructure for voice, data, and video across copper, fiber, and RF.
• Troubleshoot and repair network infrastructure, including security/firewalls and IP/MPLS devices.
• Coordinate with commercial carriers and interconnects; ensure proper documentation.
