Job summary

Pertec Global is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support large-scale ISP and data center networks. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, planning deployments, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring high network performance.

Responsibilities include supporting Juniper MX and RoutingDirector platforms, coordinating with support teams, and delivering technical training. Remote role with travel to customer sites and relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, operations, or architecture roles.
• Strong experience supporting large-scale ISP, service provider, or data center environments.
• Advanced knowledge of MPLS, RSVP, LDP, MPLS-TE.
• L2VPN, L3VPN, Pseudowires.
• EVPN, VXLAN, GRE, and tunneling technologies.
• Experience with WAN transport technologies and network design.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and manage technical escalations

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and provide technical documentation, reports, and recommendations.

• Collaborate with customer and internal engineering teams to improve network performance and operational efficiency.

In this customer-facing role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, supporting network operations, troubleshooting complex issues, planning deployments, validating solutions and ensuring high network performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintainlarge-scale network infrastructures based on Juniper MX and RoutingDirector platforms.
• Plan, test, and assist withnetwork deployments, upgrades, and implementation activities.
• Serve as the primary technicalpoint of contact for operational issues and escalations.

• Experience with Python,Ansible, REST APIs, NETCONF, gRPC, PyEZ, or related automation tools.
• Bachelor's degree in atechnical or engineering discipline.

Additional Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with CIPolygraph clearance required.
• Remote position withapproximately 25% travel to customer sites as needed.
• Preference will be given to candidates located in CA, MD, VA, or DC.
