Job summary

Sligo Software Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Administrator for the DOT Transportation Safety Management and Operations program in Albany, NY.

The incumbent will engineer, deploy securely, and operate critical ITS networking infrastructure, focusing on Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN and IR1101 devices, with centralized Palo Alto Panorama management. The role emphasizes end-to-end security, zero-trust segmentation, and collaboration with field technicians to maintain robust connectivity

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise networking infrastructure.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN in large environments with 1,000+ endpoints.
• Onsite 100% role in Albany, NY.
• Must have Cisco SD-WAN experience incl. Catalyst SD-WAN Manager & Controllers.
• Palo Alto NGFWs and Panorama administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead SD-WAN design, orchestration, and policy implementation for critical ITS networks.
• Configure and deploy Cisco IR1101 devices in roadside cabinets and manage backhaul paths.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and VM-Series in cloud/edge environments.
• Enforce zero-trust network segmentation and security policies across IT/OT boundaries.
• Provide Tier 3 incident response for complex network outages and field issues.
