Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Network/Storage Test Engineer to join the End-to-End Cloud solution team. You will join the E2E Verification group to test and define Ethernet/InfiniBand NIC and Switch features, building fast enablement for NVIDIA products in high-demand markets.

You will design, mentor, and implement tests for new features, develop large-scale topologies, and drive end-to-end verification across Regression, Performance, Functional, and Scale scopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent IT/network experience.
• 8+ years of practical experience in networking/test engineering.
• Significant hands-on experience in Linux-based platforms.
• Experience with L2 & L3 network protocols.
• Fast and self-learner with outstanding technical skills.
• Independent, responsible worker capable of planning and delivering.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design review and product feature requirements for Ethernet/InfiniBand NICs and switches.
• Build setup topologies simulating large-scale customer environments.
• Design, mentor, and implement tests for new features in NVIDIA’s network stack.
• Lead with innovative POC activities to address evolving field needs.
• Produce comprehensive test reports and assist with debugging complex customer cases.
• Serve as engineering owner for verification cycles of customer use cases; coordinate with R&D for fixes.
• Execute end-to-end test scenarios: Regression, Performance, Functional, and Scale.
• Provide progress updates and testing summaries during releases.

Job description

We are looking for a Network/Storage Test Engineer to join our End-to-End Cloud solution team. You are going to be part of the E2E Verification team with the main goal of testing and be part of defining the most sophisticated Ethernet/InfiniBand NIC and Switch features and topologies, which build fast enablement for the NVIDIA products to meet growing market demands. The ideal candidate will engage in testing and defining of Networking industry-leading systems and will bring with him an ability of the fast learning of new features, technologies, and protocol.

What you'll be doing:

• Contributing to design review and product features requirements under the whole Ethernet/InfiniBand NIC and Switch portfolio.
• Designing and building setup topologies for appropriate product coverage with an emphasis on an emulation of customer large scale / complex environments.
• Designing, mentoring testing automation team, and implementing tests for the new features, as part of NVIDIA growing network switch and adaptors division.
• Leading with an innovation approach by preparing and deploying different POC activities, based on the growing field demands.
• Generating comprehensive test reports during release execution procedure, assisting with reproduction and debugs on complex customer use cases, determining the issue root cause.
• Acting as engineering PIC for the full verification cycles of the customer use cases, with fixes provided by R&D team.
• Executing end-to-end test scenarios in different scopes: Regression, Performance, Functional and Scale.
• Reporting the progress of testing and provide summary reports of testing activity.

What we need to see:

• B.A./B.Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience as IT/Network Engineer.
• 8+ years of practical experience in this domain.
• Significant hands-on experience in Linux based platform.
• Experience with L2 & L3 network protocols.
• Fast and self-learner Outstanding technical skills.
• Independent, responsible worker, able to plan and complete.
• Effective trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, HyperV, VMWARE, OpenStack, Kubernetes).
• Background with NAS and/or SAN storage systems.
• Scripting skills and experience: Bash / Python.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
